This project celebrates Filipino cultural heritage through the design of a conceptual restaurant menu. Inspired by traditional tribal tattoos, I hand-drew patterns and symbols reflecting the stories and identity within my heritage’s visual language. The faint wavy background pattern references the delicate embroidery of the traditional barong, inspired by a photo of my grandfather wearing one. The menu’s overall shape draws from a banana leaf — a nod to the communal meals my family shares during gatherings. The design weaves research, personal memory, and cultural symbolism into a modern visual expression.
